When a woman chooses life for her child, the story does not end there. Often, she and her family continue to need practical help. APS provides the following additional services:
APS recognizes that Fathers play a vital role in their children’s lives. Male counselors are often available to meet with male clients, and we also offer separate Men’s Parenting classes, as well as LifeCenter programming specifically for Fathers. Fathers are also eligible to earn vouchers and receive material goods.
Safe, shepherding child care is available at no cost while parents participate in many of our classes. Our Children’s Ministry workers value each and every child who comes to APS and desire for them to know Jesus.
This ten part series, offered on a regular basis at APS, teaches participants how to better manage their resources and “get ahead” financially. A stipend is available upon completion of the course and His Baby Boutique vouchers can be earned.
Ohio Benefits Bank Counseling and Tax Help
Ohio Benefits Bank is an online service that helps people check eligibility for benefits and provides them access to services they may need. APS has a trained counselor available for assisting with this process, and also with filing income tax returns.
Counseling and Referrals
APS has two licensed social workers on staff. They are available for one-on-one counsel, and can also make referrals for ongoing support as needed.
CSB Accepted Parenting Classes
The parenting classes offered at APS fulfill the requirements for Court Ordered or CSB (Children’s Services Board) recommended parenting, allowing mothers and fathers to get the help they need to become better parents.
LifeCenter is a safe, educational place designed to give women an opportunity to grow in their relationship with Christ. For more information, click here.
